Town & Country Supply Association has acquired the Market Basket, located at 8014 South Frontage Road in Billings. The Market Basket is Town & Country’s seventh convenience store – joining other stores in Billings, Bridger, Hardin, and Laurel.
“We felt it was an opportunity to take this location into the future,” said Wes Burley, the general manager of Town & Country Supply Association. “It’s a growth opportunity for us to expand our footprint in the convenience business.”
A Look Back
Teresa Quast Bidleman sold the Market Basket to Town & Country after nearly 25 years in business. Town & Country had served as the Cenex fuel supplier for the Market Basket.
“I’m thankful to the community for their support,” Quast Bidleman said. “We’ve made friends with many of the customers we have met over the years. People have been pouring in to wish me luck in my retirement, and it will be hard to say goodbye. However, Town & Country will take care of our customers. They are a good fit.”
Moving Forward
Town & Country will bring on all current Market Basket employees through the acquisition.
“We’re going to welcome them into our T&C family,” Burley said.
The Market Basket is known for their deli and chicken, which will continue to be offered to customers. Town & Country will also renovate the Market Basket, with plans to eventually build a new facility at that location. The store will maintain the same hours – 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
