For our six months ending June 30, 2021, our sales volume continues to exceed our budget and previous years’ sales. Some of the increase is due to higher priced products, but we are also seeing increased volumes on many products. Our sales staff are spending many hours out in the country, and we are seeing the results of their efforts.
On the expense side of things, we are still seeing increases, as our own costs of operation have been rising. However, in the end, we are running slightly ahead of the previous year for profitability, driven by increases in volume.
As we continue through the last half of 2021, we are being faced with many challenges that also affect our Patrons. The drought conditions, insect infestations, and employee shortages are some of the biggest things that we are dealing with. However, with our dedicated employees stepping up and putting in the extra time to get things covered, we will all get through it. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we all work toward the end of the madness and to smoother sailing in the future.
