Energy Division Update (Quarter 1, 2023)
The Town & Country Supply Association Energy Division has broken records, while expanding to meet changing conditions for patrons.
Record-Breaking Sales
Town & Country Supply Association had a record-breaking December for propane sales – with more than 495,000 gallons sold. The extreme weather conditions, coupled with customer growth, led to this increase. Our team worked hard to keep up with the orders and service work to take care of our patrons.
Meeting the Demand
The demand for propane has also led us to increase the size of the propane bobtails we deliver with from the old 3200 gallon trucks to the larger 5200 gallon trucks over the past eight years. We are currently running 5 of these larger trucks as well as one of the old 3200 gallon trucks. Most recently, in response to access issues due to the flooding last June, our department purchased a smaller propane truck that gives us the ability to continue to serve our patrons in these areas that are harder to get to with temporary bridges and road closures.
